Hi there! my name is Gordon Waddell. I was born and brought up in Airdrie, where I live today. I've been playing golf for four years, my first game was on Lochranza, Isle of Arran, where I hired my first set of clubs. Since then I have been privileged to play all seven courses during my summer vacation. In 2001 I attended a Golf Training Weekend held at the Inverclyde National Sports Centre in Largs. It was well worth the effort and through that I feel my golf has improved.

My most successful round was at Lamlash in June 2002 where I finished with a 92 gross. This is my third season with Scottish Blind Golf since my baptism at the Matchplay Championships held at Boat of Garten. Other times are spent on the driving range and on the 9 hole practice course in Lanark and listening to good music [Runrig and MeatLoaf].

I feel I have improved on and off the golf course since joining SBGS and I hope in 2004 I'll be able to be a little more successful in the SBGS events with the assistance of my guides Rab and Tom to whom, many thanks.
